The Tradition Hong Kong Football Club 10s celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2026, with three days of heart-stopping rugby from Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th April. This tournament is designed to be the ultimate curtain raiser to the world-famous Hong Kong Sevens. In fact, when the “World’s Best 10s” first started in 1976, the Sevens tournament was held at the same venue of Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC), nestled within the very aptly named Happy Valley.
As we reach the closing days of 2025, I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and to thank you sincerely for your dedication and service to the Society over the past twelve months. Your commitment is what underpins everything we do. I hope the festive period provides an opportunity to step away from the touchlines, enjoy some well-earned rest, and spend quality time with family and friends.

Competitive team sport would be mere recreation without those who uphold the laws of the game. Proudly supported by the London Society of Rugby Football Union Referees (LSRFUR), 16 teams descend on St Joseph's Schools Rugby Festival for a weekend of fierce competition.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of long-time London & South East Region member, David Plews. As many of you know, David was fighting a brave and determined battle with cancer, which he sadly lost on September 24th.
The 2025 LSRFUR Conference took place at Twickenham Stadium on 31st August. It was a hugely successful day, with over 200 attendees and a variety of insightful and interactive presentations delivered to our members.
On the eve of the semi-finals. we were extremely fortunate to be able to host several Match Officials from the the Women’s Rugby World Cup, for a special Society event in central London.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed a well-deserved summer break and managed to take some time away from the rugby fields. Pre-season is already in full swing, and with some leagues kicking off this week, the 2025/26 season is almost upon us.
