The 2025 LSRFUR Conference took place at Twickenham Stadium on 31st August. It was a hugely successful day, with over 200 attendees and a variety of insightful and interactive presentations delivered to our members.
The theme of the day was ‘Self Reflection’, with presentations on recent law updates and directives, alongside breakout sessions in smaller groups focused on key areas of the game.
A special thanks to our guest speaker, Wayne Barnes, who game an excellent insight about his professional rugby and law careers, followed by a Q&A session with our members.
Alongside the presentations, our President, Andrew MacNeaney, and Assistant General Secretary, William Foster, delivered society updates.
We had several breakout sessions lead by our member Calum Howard (PGMOT AR) on the Scrum, William Foster (NLMOT Associate Referee) on Foul Play & Escalations and Simon Waite (NLMOT Referee) on Tackle to Ruck.
Robbie Bourke (Head of MODC) discussed Referee Pathways and Personal Development and Ken Morgan (Match Observer Head) outlined the new Assessment processes.
A selection of photos from the day is included in the gallery at the foot of this page.
We thank all attendees again for a great day and wish our entire community every success for season 2025/2026.
