 Central Meeting topic

We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming Sue Redfern MBE as our guest speaker for the evening. A former international cricketer herself, Sue was in 2022 names as a member of the ECB's Professional Umpires' Team, and has recently become the first female umpire to stand in a men’s first-class match, umpiring the County Championship game between Glamorgan and Derbyshire last month. We hope hearing from Sue’s on her progression, self-review and development pathways, we can learn transferrable skills that we can take into our officiating journeys (as well as getting some great insights and more).

General Meeting

As required by the Constitution, the start of the meeting shall also consist of our November General Meeting. The accounts for the prior season shall be presented at the meeting. In addition to this, there is further additional business in the shape of the attached proposed Constitutional and Rule changes. Most of these changes are either to tidy up the Constitution, recognise how the Society is currently working in practice, updating amounts for inflation or other operational matters. A marked up version of the Constitution, the changes and the rationale for them is attached - should you have any queries in respect of this please do contact me.

Click here to review proposed Constitution changes.

I very much hope to see you on the 2nd, for what promises to be an interesting Central Meeting. Arrangements for a post-event gathering are currently being worked on, and will be communicated in due course.

Best wishes,

Peter
