Following on from our very successful adviser conference in
October that was attended by 26 advisers including one or two
coaches, we advised then that our next conference will be held on
08/01/2012 at London Bridge Hotel.
This conference will be a little difference as we are asking all
of LSRFUR match observers to the conference.
The basis for expanding the adviser conference is to follow our
commitment of best practice to ensure that all of our referees have
a written report each and every season to comply with our insurance
cover. We are aware that this is not practical but if we utilise
all of our observer resources we can get very close to 100%. But
more importantly we need to ensure that we are all working together
to bring our refereeing and adviser talent to the fore.
We know that all referee's dream to get as far up the promotion
ladder as possible, now we do need to facilitate those advisers who
wish to progress up the advising ladder. Each season there is a
need for more advisers at all levels and this does include SEG
Group.
As I have now run 6 adviser conferences and coaching day's the
idea's are a little thin on the ground. At the last
conference I did ask if anyone has a specific area that they would
like to be included, but there has been no feedback on this.
Therefore, at the last A&G meeting Nick Cousins offered to
organise the content. We are working on bringing in guest speakers
to build on related subjects that we have covered in the
past. Even now if there is a subject that you would like to be
included please let me know by the end of November.
With advisers alone we had 26 people at the last conference and
we could well exceed this number for January, so to ensure that we
know the number who are interested in attending please can you let
me know by 16/12/2011 if you will be attending so as we can make
sure that we have a suitable venue. I will be forwarding more
information on the content and speakers as soon as we have
finalised arrangements.
